Answer

In most cases, yes — but a simple one.

Even people who find you through a referral will look you up before making contact. A website is where they confirm you are real, that you do what they need, and that you serve their area.

A perfectly adequate small-business site has five things: what you do and for whom, who you serve, how it works, proof that you are credible, and an obvious way to get in touch. Anything beyond that is optional.

What matters far more than design: it loads fast, it works on a phone, your contact details are visible without scrolling, and it says where you operate.

The Website Homepage Copy Framework covers the structure. Write the copy first, then build.
