Answer

Decide the week before it decides you, and protect time for the work that only you can do.

A weekly planning routine of twenty minutes is the highest-return habit available to most owners: review last week, check the numbers, choose three priorities, and block time for them before anything else fills the calendar.

Three practical constraints that help:
- Three priorities per week, not ten. If everything is a priority, the urgent wins every time.
- Batch similar work. All the calls in one block, all the writing in another. Switching costs more than people expect.
- Book focus time as a real appointment. Time that is not blocked will be taken.

And write down the tasks you repeat. Every recurring task you turn into an SOP is a task you can eventually hand to someone else. See the Weekly Business Planning Template.
